Are You Nice?

I’ve always thought that being described as “nice” is equivalent to being called “weak”. Maybe even boring.

Nice is average. Nice is lukewarm. Nice is mundane. And, often, in sales, the nice guy/girl is eaten alive.

If your peers pinpoint your most remarkable personality trait as being “nice,” then you aren’t making much of an impact. Even kindness, which seems similar, doesn’t have the same sting of mediocracy. According to this article that’s because being kind is a very different trait.

Of course, you may disagree that the word “nice” is borderline insulting, and I suppose there are worse things to be called… But nevertheless there are ways this characteristic could be hindering you. Find out how here.
