Finding the Ceiling

What’s up, everyone! 👋🏻

How high is your ceiling?...

Everyone has one. Yours might be different from mine. Mine might be different from someone else’s. The real question is—can you accept yours?

In actuality, not everyone can—or should—strive to hit the same heights. Some people are built to thrive at level three, and they’ll crush it there. Others naturally start at a level four, and with the right push, they can hit a six or a seven. But not everyone can hit a ten.

That’s not a knock on anyone’s potential. It’s just reality.

And when it comes to work, especially in sales, the faster you can accept your level of effort and commitment and motivation, the better and harder you’ll be to beat. Some people have been through things in life—real challenges—that give them an edge. They’ve got a reference point, an anchor. Cold calling? That’s nothing compared to the battles they’ve already fought.

But if you don’t have that kind of experience to draw from, it’s harder to push through those tough moments. That’s okay. It doesn’t make you any less valuable.

Own It!

The key is to stop comparing yourself to someone else’s ceiling. Instead, focus on owning your own.

Ask yourself:

  • What’s my natural starting point?
  • How far can I realistically push myself?
  • Am I doing everything I can to reach my personal potential?

You don’t have to be the best in the world to be successful. You just have to strive to be the best version of you.

The Value in Acceptance

Owning your ceiling isn’t about settling. It’s about clarity. When you know your limits, you can set realistic goals, stay in your lane, and build a career that works for you.

Here’s the truth: The people who last in sales and leadership aren’t the ones chasing someone else’s idea of success. They’re the ones who figure out what they’re capable of, lean into it, and maximize their potential.

So, what’s your ceiling? And are you owning it?

Stay focused, stay in your lane, and keep climbing.
